The National Association of Jewellers (NAJ)

About NAJ

We are the leading voice for the UK Jewellery industry, shaping professional excellence for more than 2,000 member companies employing over 24,000 people. We protect, promote and prepare our members, helping them be legally compliant, profitable and responsible.

The Association was formed in 2015 through the unification of the British Jewellers' Association (BJA) and National Association of Goldsmiths (NAG). The Institute of Registered Valuers is also part of the NAJ family, comprised of around 100 professional valuers with formal qualifications and substantial experience. Every NAJ member is required to abide by the NAJ's Code of Conduct - based on honesty, integrity and professionalism.

What do we do for our members?

We nurture, support and enable the jewellery community by providing insight, education, advice and a voice to, and for, the sector. Thus everyone can stay a step ahead of change and do better business.

Services

As an NAJ member, you benefit from support, advice, insight and networking opportunities. We give you the tools you need to create exceptional experiences for your customers, and also allow you to proudly display the NAJ's Grant of Arms to signify your commitment.

In addition, NAJ is an industry-leading education provider. We deliver internationally recognised qualifications, exciting short courses and bespoke business mentoring.

Governance

The NAJ is run by and for its members. The Association is led by the National Committee, which is supported by professional community groups, standing groups, and working groups (image below). NAJ is part of the larger British Allied Trades Federation, which provides the formal company structure and support for the Association's activities.
